Basil Thai & Sushi

Well prepared, highly tasty, fresh ingredients. our tummies and taste-buds could not have been happier! Prices are reasonable. I've had Jasmine Rice with Chicken, and crispy rolls, and Vegetarian Fresh Rolls and Seared Ahi Tuna. The Jasmine was a large quantity but absolutely delicious! The Ahi Tuna was very fresh and suited for light eaters. My associate had Pad Thai both visits and loved it, he is very picky about food and was happy with it. We got to meet the charming and refreshingly gracious owner (Melanie). The interior decor is very clean and could be a romantic date in the subdued lighting with the instrumental music for the soul playing at 9PM. The wine list has some affordable offerings but there are also some pricey ones. It is a half-block walk from Extended Stay America hotel. The restaurant opens around 5PM. There is outdoor seating. We went there twice in in our week stay in town and loved both experiences. The waitress recognized us our second visit with a warm "Hey you're back!" You should support this great little place with a visit soon. I recommend it and will be back again as soon as I return to JAX town. Basil Thai & Sushi turned out to be the treat of my time in Town. Takeout is available too.
