Absolutely the best Thai Food in Michigan.

I disagree with Lori. The food is great at Bangkok Hung Cafe. Lunch time is very busy but worth the wait. I think her bad experience was a isolated incident. I dine-in there often during lunch time and there has not been any complaints while I was there. Also, I believe that Thai Cafe that she recommended is carry out only and not authentic like Bangkok.

i actually work at Bangkok Hung Cafe. my family has owned that place for 13 years. i grew up in this restaurant. i feel bad for those who dont want to come to our place... we dont mean to be less than perfect but we do have very many customers especially around lunch times where the line is out the door. over here, we try our hardest even if we seem so distracted most of the time. We want our customers to come back. when i first started working here i met a customer who came to the restaurant when i was still a little kid. he remembered me running around the place. he even has one of our menus from back then. i'm now 18 and he still comes back. we are here for the people and i'm sorry to those who got bad service that we could be soooo bad. i wish for all of you to come back and give us another try!! I love Thai food! I dine in at this restaurant about 3 times a week. The food is great! They do an astounding lunch crowd. Usually, there is a line out the door for people awiting takeout orders, because their space is limited, they are quite efficient all the time. The service is prompt, wheather I dine in with friends or pick-up company take out. I enjoy coming here, for the food, and I don't mind to wait a little longer then expected, because the food is great.- Mike

The food is good here (most of the time), but the service is atrocious. i'm only posting because the experience i had today is the third one like it that i've had in about six months. i won't be going back. in a nutshell, i called in an order at 12:15 p.m. they told me it would be ready for pickup in 15 minutes. i got there at 12:30. the line was at the door - all people picking up carryout orders. seriously, the line did not move for 20 minutes. one of the servers was yelling at a customer who was trying to figure out what was happening with her order. people who dined in the restaurant were having to wait in this long line to pay b/c the ONE waitress was not picking up their bill. And to make matters worse, after seeing how frustrated customers were at having spent likely half their lunch hour waiting in line to pick up orders that they'd placed by phone, they didn't even bother to apologize. this restaurant is not worth going to until they can put a system in place to deal with heavy lunch crowds, and until they can appreciate that their customer's lunch time is valuable. A better bet? Cafe Thai just down Northwestern Highway.
