Jasmine

Jasmine is an unassuming little place in a neighborhood strip center. It is tastefully decorated, clean and service is impeccable.

Jasmine has an extensive menu of traditional Thai dishes that are executed very well and exhibit the depth of flavor one would expect. The hot curries are not simply hot, they are bright and flavorful with a thoughtful presentation.

The staff is attentive and responds quickly to all requests.

Jasmine has recently updated its menu which always makes me worry about a price increase. The price increase was there, but Jasmine is still moderately priced. The wine list has improved, but the prices make it less desirable to order wine with dinner. We'll stick with water. They are overreaching in their alcohol prices.

All in all, this is a comfortable, enjoyable place to have dinner. There is always at least one party of Thai descent (I assume) and that is an encouraging sign.

I highly recommend Jasmine. Their red duck curry and pork Panang curry are very very good.. The seaweed salad is hit or miss. It was very good for a couple of years, but the last time I had it, it had an odd taste that made me think they had added to an old batch rather than making it from scratch. I probably won't have that again.
