Bahn Thai

This place is like Thai chilli - tiny but full of quality. It's right off Park Blvd just north of the University Heights sign. Street parking (a bit iffy during dinner hours. Better luck parking on Adams Ave and walk a bit). Dining room is very tiny and contains only 3 small tables. 4 more tables out on the sidewalk. Facility is very clean (including good unisex restroom) and well kept. Menu is small, but covers all the often ordered items plus a few monthly special items. Serving staff is very friendly and efficient. Food generally ready within 15 minutes. I (and it seems like most of the regular customers) usually order to go. They really pack the food well for you. Have carried curry home in my backpack without anything spilling (they use good sturdy plastic container instead of the usual foam cup, and they double plastic bag it for you). Serving size here isn't huge, but everything is cooked well and very flavorful. Food is pretty authentic Thai, though still friendly to American palate. 'Medium hot' here has good heat, but won't burn your tongue off. Highly recommended for Thai and non-Thai diners alike.
