Antique Thai Cuisine

Located in the shopping mall on the SW corner of Rosecrans & Midway in Pt Loma, there is plenty of parking. Dining room is spacious and beautifully decorated with traditional Thai paraphernalia. Lots of friendly waiting staff, and the facility is very clean.

Menu is kept quite simple. If you stop by for lunch you only get one sheet lunch special menu with the usual suspects Thai dishes. Lunch specials come with a small cup of very mild tofu soup, a small salad with mild peanut sauce, a couple of crispy fried wanton & veg roll. I'm afraid the fabulous sweet chili dipping sauce was in a shallow dish and it was hard to get any of the sauce on the wanton, tho.

I ordered garlic pork, which turned out quite nice. Unlike some other Thai places where the pork would be served with more leafy vegetables, this came with wedges of squashes along with onions and carrots. A nice change. Serving size was fine for the price ($8). Staff was tactful and attentive as needed. Will eat there again.
