Thumra Thai

My friend and I tried this place last month. Was so impressed with the service, cleanliness, and quality of food that we went again today(1/10/08). Most Thai places charge extra for the rice whereas not only is the rice included here, they also give you a cup of savory soup and a small salad with the meal. Excellent!!

UPDATE: Thumra Thai has just re-emerged under a new ownership on June 1st, 2007. The decoration is new and very welcoming. The food is very delicious and fresh -- so many people have been amazed with our food.

We (my co-workers) order about every other week from this restaurant. On 10/18/06 We went there for luch and I have to say it was the abosolute worst Thai food I have ever eaten. Not only did he make a mistake on our order, he argued with us about the order and replaced it with a two minute "sloppy version" of what our drunken noodles should have been. He the cooked noodles, no saute and slapped sauce on them. There was no egg, The nooodles were white and when I asked him where the onion and bell pepper was that I paid extra for, he threw them on top, raw. I sent it back again and asked for them to be cooked. It was plain nasty, but the attidue was nastier!!! At the same time, he had made a mistake about someone else's order. I only got rice, no side salad. I always get a side salad...What gives???

We just ordered in a dozen dishes from this establishment. The food quality was excellent! The food QUANTITY, on the other hand, left much to be desired. I can guarantee that their fridge and freezers are full of chicken, beef and shrimp, because they sure aren't including much of it in the meal. Also, three of us ordered the same dish and found that we each had different items included with the meal (not uniform at all). I also have this pet peeve with restraunts leaving the tail on shrimp in mixed dishes, but that can be overlooked. Overall, it tasted fantastic. Just beware of the beef, chicken and shrimp combo meals. They're going to use those items as a garnish, not the main dish. -AG-

i think your restaurant need some changes.. i don't like the serving.. so untidy and the whole serving is aweful. i order this swimming rama dish they got for the first time and i'm not satisfied coz i have to ask for more chicken on it coz they only put like 5 piece of small slices of chicken. The red curry that we order, how they serve it is pretty bad the sauce is drippin and the side of the bowl has sauce on it. Not Clean at all! And the other thing about it is they mix the salad with the whole entry who have different dressing and it was gross,

The chef has no issues in making your meals as spicy as you like them (I like 6:), but they're happy to make it mild too. Also, the staff is super friendly. All around, a great experience!!
