Little Home Thai Cuisine

I lived in Bangkok for 9 years. I like food here yet almost all the dishes are little too sweet..

My family has been regular customers at “Little Home Thai Cuisine” in Pleasanton (next to Trader Joe’s), but after tonight’s experience I will never eat there again. Two months ago, I was dining with my wife and my friend. I first find a hair in my soup, remove it and continue eating it, and later in the dinner my friend finds a hair in her pad Thai. I did not say anything initially about the hair in the soup (not wanting to ruin everyone’s appetite), but my friend complains to the waitress about the hair in her Pad Thai. She asks to have the Pad Thai removed from the tab (she did not eat any of it). The wait staff refuses to remove the Pad Thai from the tab, even when I mention that was the second hair that we found. The manager insists that they prepare another order of Pad Thai, and we reluctantly agree. They also give us a free fried banana dessert. We pay our meal in full. I returned to the restaurant this evening with my wife and parents. It’s my turn to order and the manager, who is our waitress, says to me, “This time don’t eat all of your meal, and then complain about hair in the food, the waitress had to pay for the dishes last time”. So we find two hairs in our previous meal, make a complaint, and now they are accusing me of stealing and cheating!!! The restaurant is in complete denial about their poor food preparation and then tries to blame it on me, the customer. The manager was extremely rude and in poor taste. Diner Beware!

We love this restaurant. We have taken Thai friends there who like it better than other bay area Thai restuarants!
