Exotic Thai Cafe

We visited this place for the first time today, 2/12. Everyone who arrived after we did was served before us. After 35 minutes, we finally received our spring rolls - which were delicious. The food was excellent, but with only 1 server and 1 cook on a Friday night? Why would anyone revisit this place?

Wow Actually I thought the service here was great and the food was awesome as well. I ordered the Pad Thai vegetarian, spicy fried rice with tofu, and spicy eggplant with tofu and everything was perfect. They even offered to bring over the hot sauce tray. I got plenty of refills on my water, without having to say anything, and when I left they definitely said thank you and come again...which I will and do often!

Been to this place a number of times, the food is GREAT. However, the service is consistantly lacking. You wait forever for them to come and take your order. Once I sat and watched the waiter on the phone talking while we waited to get our orders in. This when the restaurant was not crowded, and it was clearly not a to go order on the phone. Another time, I ordered one glass noodle dish, ordered it and pointed to it, and they brought another (salad) which I didn't want, didn't like, and informed them that this wasn't what I'd wanted. Any other place in the world they would have just taken it back and sent out the other post-haste, but in this place, they basically told me tough luck! I couldn't believe that they valued their customers so little. I do still go there, but mostly I just order carry out. Can be irritating, but not as irritating as eating in. I'd really like to see them get their act together, since the food is so good... maybe send them all to Chili's for a week at "table waiting boot camp"?

I think Kathleen has a little too much time on her hands. I have had a great experience everytime I have ordered carryout from this restaraunt.

Very good Thai food and very good service in the restaurant. We lived in Thailand for four years and like to think we know Thai food, but even if we don't we certainly do know what we like and the food is GOOD!

I agree with the previous reviewer, though I must say the food is pretty good. I usually get my stuff to go. If you have to eat in, remember lunch hours are the busiest - expect little service and long wait.

Absolutely the worst service or I should say, "no service" when ordering "to go". I have been consistently ordering at least once every two weeks so I know they know my face. Although they are pleasant when taking the order on the phone, once you arrive, they show NO courteous towards the customer. Not once have they said "thank you" nor have they EVER replied with a "you're welcome", when I the customer thanks THEM. I just picked up some dinner and there were NO customers in the restaurant. Despite that, I neither received a thank you nor the you're welcome. I asked for hot sauce and the waitress handed me one without a word then, sat back down at the table closest to the register and started working on what appeared to be some kind of preparation work for the dinner crowd. I was still standing at the counter putting my hot sauce into the plastic bag of food when she was already sitting. Again, not a word when I walked out of the restaurant. They have tasty food and it is the closest Thai restaurant to my home in Agoura Hills but I have really had it with the service. Today I decided to find every review site on Exotic Thai Cafe to let other customers be aware!!!
