Poom Thai Cuisine

Poom Thai is some of the best Thai food you can get in SoCal short of going to Thailand. It is at a Great price to boot! I can order quite the feast and spend hardly any money. I drive all the way up from Orange County just for their beef panang!

Love it! Love it! Love it! The food is always so good, so fresh, and the staff is very friendly. Even the delivery people are great, and the food comes to your door hot and fast. Best Thai on the westside. Seeing the little boy Poom spend every evening in the restaurant and even making a bed for himself after 8 is a little odd. Surely they can kick down for a sitter?!

I was amazed to read the bad reviews of Poom Thai. I eat there occasionally, get take out more often, and I'm always happy with the food. Tasty, fast, reasonable prices. Since they are close to where I work, I pick it up and take it 20 miles home. I rarely go to my old fave Thai restaurant right around the corner from my house because Poom is so good.

The review about the spicy 'retaliation' is weird, because one time I went into Poom Thai with a friend, and our order was messed up. I have also been a regular for over two years. We asked them to fix the order, and when we got the replacement food, it was so spicy we basically couldn't eat it.

We were regular customers for 2 years at Poom thai. In that time we ordered take out almost everyweek because of proximity to our home. Sometimes we dined in but the place has more fish tanks than people in the little restaurant so we mostly did take out. The food was good, spicy and cheap. One day we ordered food but they mixed up our order. Being a permanent customer, I thought they would gladly fix the mixed up order. But they asked us to bring the food back in order to fix it. That was a bit strange because we had already used up some rice. We brought the food back but they complained that food was half used and basically were rude to us. Then they made the new food so spicy that we could not eat a bite! Its like they were trying to get back at us for bringing back half of the food. I mean we eat a lot of spicy food so we can really handle spicy food but this had so much chili that there was no taste left and no one could eat it. When we asked them "why it was so spicy? " They simply ignored us and did not care. This happened over 3 days so it wasnt a isolated incident. We were not expecting such a bad customer service after being regular customers for 2 years. We didnt say anything to Poom thai and decided to never visit the restaurant again. If they care more about few pennies than a regular customer, then its best to avoid such a place. We would not recommend going there. There are many other good Thai restaurants in Santa Monica so visit them and avoid this place.

Poom Thai is the best. The food is fresh, the ingredients are of the highest quality, the service is amazing, the people are friendly. Definitely my favorite place to eat out or order in in Los Angeles.

It is the best Thai food I've ever had, it has the best service I've ever seen and it is amazingly affordable. Who could ask for anything more?

Poom Thai is by far the best Thai food I have had - ever. Always fresh, perfectly seasoned and spiced and always hot. This is a small family type restaurant. Prices and portions are very reasonable. I could easily eat Poom every night of the week

This is my favorite Thai place in Los Angeles area. Looks low budget, but the food is truly amazing. It is also very inexpensive and the people who work there are extremely nice. Also, the little boy who is oftentimes in the restaurant's name is Poom!

Poom Thai is a small little place that doesn't look like much from outside but the food is a totally different thing. It is some of the best Thai food on the west side and very reasonably priced. They deliver within a wide range and the food comes delicious and hot. I recommend Poom Thai to those of you who are looking for good food at a good price.
