King & I

We ended up at King and I, only because I was meeting family at Chantanee but they were closed due to an upcoming move. So we went to King and I as an alternate. What a mistake--although the food was good, the service personnel ruined it by being beyotches. The hostess was rude upon our entry, so we sat down and waited for our waitress. Service was fast, but again the waitress was outright rude. My sister asked for both brown and white rice, and the waitress said "only one per person". My sister told her she'd pay for it, but still the gal was just plain snatchy about it. We got our meals, and ate at a normal pace but the waitstaff kept coming by like vultures trying to get us to pay (obviously trying to turn tables as fast as possible). My sister finished first and placed her cash on the table, and a gal came by and interrupted our conversation by asking "is she paying for it all?". I said in an emphatic tone "NO, I WILL PAY FOR MINE WHEN I'M DONE!". At this point, we did take our time and these beyotches kept looking over our way and walking by us. We didn't leave more than a few cents for a tip, due to the rudeness of these three gals. The one who filled our water glasses was very nice, but the others suck and we will never go back. We'll be waiting for Chantanee to reopen, as that place has awesome food and much kinder waitstaff. Another good one is Nibbana--great food and good staff. King and I sucks; do yourself a favor and avoid it at all costs!

My experience with King & I has been awesome! I go there every week and use the PRIME card too. I have had no issues at all. PRIME card states that you need to tip 15-10% of the pre-discount amount and that is what we do. Take care of your wait staff (not just here, in any restaurant) and they will take care of you! The Pad Thai is amazing and the portions are generous, the prices are very reasonable. They send out coupons in the monthly mailers sent out in Bellevue and that makes dining here a steal!

This restaurant is extremely good. I have tried many thai resturants but none compare to this. The people are friendly, portions good, and the menu has great variety. Everything is tasty and delicious. I would highly recommend it.

This restaurant service really sucks. Well I should have guessed so, if they put a rule of fixed tips. Probably that no one eat there and wish to pay any tips. They have no sense of customer service. Plus they put so many rules on prime card that you can hardly use it to save you any. NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.

My family and I love the King & I. The staff are very polite and remember us each time even though we only go there about once a month. The food varies a bit each time we go but it is always tasty. Would highly recommend!

We sat down and they took 15 minutes to get our order, even though we knew what we wanted right away and had our menus tucked away at the end of the table. Then, 45 minutes after we sat down, we watched as others sat down, ate, and left. Still no food. We got our appetizers finally. And then the main course came 10 minutes later. Even after all that, they forgot the side order of sticky rice and peanut sauce, and then blamed us for not asking for it up front (which we did). Also, their policy of 15% gratuity on parties of 4 or more is just plain terrible. I would have left ZERO tip if they did not include it in the bill. I'll NEVER go back. I'll go to Chantanee a block away instead.
