If you don't look carefully - you may miss this great little restaurant. It's located near the WalMart on Satellite Blvd. (at the intersection of Satellite & Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road). It's just a few doors down from the CiCi's Pizza. The food is great - very fresh. The service is always friendly and professional. And their health rating is always an "A." (This is important to me! I won't eat at a restaurant that has a rating lower than 85. Especially if they have had a "U" within the past year.) Their Pad Thaii is some of the best I have had. Pad Thai is the first dish I order when visiting a new Thai restaurant. I figure if you can't make good Pad Thai, then the rest of the menu is in jeopardy! The Masaman is wonderful balance of flavors - not too sweet, not too much curry. Their other curry dishes are also great. They will make them as hot or mild as you like. The menu is extensive and everyone should find something they like - dishes with noodles, ginger, curry, basil. Most can be made with tofu, chicken, beef or shrimp. Their Tom Yum soup is "yummy." Order the hot pot so everyone can have some! Appetizers are generous portions, as are main dishes. Many times our family of three will order an appetizer or pot of soup, plus two entrees - and everyone leaves full. Of course, there are those times we save room for the mango sticky rice or a glass of Thai tea. (Both are very good here!) I am sad to say Siam Thai closed its doors in 2012. But, the owners have opened a new restaurant around the corner and with a better location called the Thai Bowl. The menu is basically the same with a few additions. The food is always excellent and I can honestly say the Tom Yum is the best around... still! I have made this a regular spot for lunch and date night with my wife.
