Thai Express

Not a great location next to a liquor store, not very large and it could us some decor and cleaning up. So why have I been there 30 times? You guessed it, the mother of the family, who I deduce speaks no English, cooks great food. It is all on the spicy and authentic side. My favorite dish is the spicy basil vegetables, and incredibly healthy dish of mixed vegetables, lots of crisp peppers, basil, and avery light sauce. It must be very low in fat and calories and loaded with vitamins. The coconut soup is great if you like a spicy version which I do. They have a nice lunch buffet but I always order the above. There is a steady clientelle of medical workers from UT Southwestern coming in so I am not the only one undeterred by the location and lack of ambiance. The apparent owner/father is friendly and pleasant and does all the table-waiting.
