Smile of Siam

The two gals that own this restaurant are wonderful,they are very personable and work very hard. The food is the best I have had anywhere and I now go there at least once a week. Everything is made fresh and just talking about it now makes me want to make a run over there and get lunch. Try this place, it really is one of the best.

I have been a regular of Smile of Siam for years. I've tried many other area Thai restaurants but always come back here. I've tried most everything on the menu but I'd say the chicken panang is my favorite. Be prepared for a wait. Leon is the owner/cook/waiter and the only person at the restaurant. Everything is prepared completely fresh. So if you are willing to wait for EXCELLENT food this is your place. To be honest the decor is very bland, the focus is the food and he does alot more carry-out business than dine-in. Even with an out of the way, bland location Smile of Siam has flourished all these year because he has built up by word of mouth a good clientèle of loyal comeback customers. As I said, if you are willing to deal with the quirkiness of way this restaurant functions (a staff of only one person, and sometimes variable business hours) you will be well rewarded.
