This restaurant is great even though the dining area is small. I have eaten at thaicoon, thai basil, thai restaurant, and lemongrass all over 20 times and have stopped going to thaicoon. Thai restaurant on Augusta is pretty good, and lemongrass is great but pricey. Thai Basil is the best shot in Greenville. If you like to get soup, they carry it hands down, and their curry is great. Stay clear of Thaicoon-they have poor management, poor service, and poor food. Anonymous

My husband and I had lunch at Sweet Basil Thai Cuisine--our first visit there--and we were impressed with everything there: the friendliness, the help with gluten-free needs, the great rice, the very delicious stir-fry food we each got, the atmosphere--especially the pretty music in the background, and even the fun video or tv show about food preparation being shown on tv screens. We definitely plan to return! Dawn

Marc, you made a huge mistake by walking out simply because the size of their dining room. Their food is the best I've had here! I moved from Los Angeles, where I'd have yellow curry at least once a week, and was pretty upset that I couldn't find anything that tasted similar here in Greenville. After trying many thai restaurants in the area, Sweet Basil is the only one that comes close! Yum! :) Julie

Love this place. Great staff, very friendly, excellent food, not too pricey. Have tried numerous items on the menu and have never been disappointed. Have used their take-out and have always been happy...always got exactly what we ordered. Small dining area, but not a problem....good atmosphere....very nice place to enjoy! Joe

The best Thai in Greenville as far as I'm concerned. Yes the place is a little small but if you go at lunch it's packed and sometimes a line outside which should tell you something about the service and food. I go once every couple of weeks and the food is always hot and consistant tasting with lots of flavor and they're also willing to cook your food to your taste. Definately try this one!! marc

walked in and turned 180 degrees and walked right back out. dining area was very small. i like to enjoy my food without having my neighbor sitting in my back pocket. too close for comfort, but that is my opinion. as far as the food, i can not say. oh well, thiacoon is closer to me anyway Chin Saiyud

My wife and I have been coming here for years and are always delighted. Our favorites are Tom Yum Goong, Basil Rolls and Spicy Basil Beef, Chicken or Shrimp. Pad Thai is great too. Never been disappointed and always welcomed with a hug! Great Restaurant
