Bangkok Thai

A fairly new restaurant, opening in the first part of 2005, nicely appointed, with great food and people. With seating for about 100, the first visual noticed when entering the restaurant is a well stocked bar offset at a slight angle to the door. Greeted by the smiling hostess, owner, you are seated away from any one else that may be already dinning. This is the second restaurant of the owner, Ghia, and the 6 page menu has an extensive selection of traditional Thai and modified American selections from appertisers to deserts. Everything is freshly prepared, while you enjoy the peaceful ambience. The food was excellent both in it's visual presentation and unique tastes. NO MSG is used in any of the dishes and tastes can be spiced up to "3 red elephants" on request. The Sampler plate is a great selection for the starting your dining experience. I tried the peppercorn pork and hot & spicy noodles, both were excellent, spicy but not overbearing. Fried Ice Cream was the perfect finish to the meal but the fresh mango over sticky rice almost won out. I found them to be very accomidating to customer requests for changes. If I had wanted to have scillops instead of shrimp in a dish for instance, they were willing to make the change with out hesitation. If you're heading up Route 16 to the big lake "W", a quick right off of Exit 13 will bring you to 202 and another right on to N. Main street. It will be a stop worth the trip for.
