Sala Thai

I went to Sala Thai and was terribly disappointed, firstly the drinks were flat, we ordered an appetiser - Chicken Skewers and they were dry and fatty, my bf ordered a chicken entree and the chicken was minced chicken and this wasn't stated on the menu, the decor was dull, dark and old fashioned and finally the price was definitely not worth what we paid. Our meal was very average and I would not recommend anyone to go here and would even warn people away from it.

Tom Owen is weak sauce. Sala Thai is legit.

I love Sala Thai. The service is heedless and slow, but the food makes up for it. I'm a great fan of their masaman curry- delicious!

I had formerly considered Sala Thai my favorite, but either they have changed cooks or simply do not care. The server was straight out of cracker barrel, and the grease on my noodles was more than the vegetables. I was charged extra for tofu INSTEAD of beef, and the "Thai Spicy" option was suddenly, "smother in sambal". The appetizer, a soft spring rolls, was more rice paper than lettuce and spouts, with only a speck of crab meat - for $5. Not to mention our cracker barrel grandma server ignored our drinks and seemed ignorant about the food. We had to ask for chopsticks, and told her not to bring us extra plates. Sorry, but if I want grease, I'll go to a fast food joint. This latest experience at Sala Thai has convinced me to neve return unless I'm lobotomized. What a loss. T.O.

Sala Thai is by far the best Thai restaurant in Louisville. I've tried the others and Sala Thai is far above the rest. Their pad Thai is the best I've ever tasted and the thom kha kai (chicken soup w/coconut milk) is wonderful. My husband always gets his favorite, cashew chicken. The servers are gracious and friendly and the food is always fabulous. Sala Thai is closed on Mondays.
