Little Thai Kitchen

We have eaten Thai food at many places across the US -- gourmet to Mom and Pop kitchens. Since it got some good reviews and our friends had eaten there before, we decided to have a late lunch at Little Thai Kitchen.

The coconut chicken soup was flavorless and, unfortunately, served a barely above room temperature. (Restaurant owner said that they ran out of sterno that day for the soup). The appetizer dumplings were flavorless also. Although the topping of vegetables seemed to be fresh, the fish was like a Mrs. Paul's frozen fish filet. Never did get to the curry because I felt queasy and began to get stomach cramps. This was about 45 minutes into the meal, followed a bit later by violet vomiting. Multiple times.

Within an hour-and-a- half, everyone in our party of four was progressively going through the same experience -- queasiness, nausea, cramps, throwing up -- and worse.

The Manager said that all the food is made to order. However, we did not hear much activity in the kitchen, nor smell any food being freshly cooked, as you would expect to in such a small place. The food came out a little to quickly, in our opinion, for being "made to order." Was this tepid food left out from lunchtime (we ate after 2:30), or refrigerated earlier and just improperly re-heated?

The owner admits that they had another food poisoning episode like this in 2006. She also said that she did not want to call me back because we might be one of the "many fraudulent calls" asking for return of money. She offered to refund our money then changed her mind a couple of days later. She claimed that we got sick from eating at other places before hers. Not likely, since we all had not had anything to eat since breakfast, six hours earlier.

The Little Thai Kitchen is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in town. Their food is delicious and the service is quick and incredibly friendly. Try the crispy fish, absolutely to die for. Try it and take your friends there, You'll be amazed.

This is some of the BEST Thai food I have ever tried. A MUST TRY WHENEVER YOU ARE IN FLAGSTAFF.

Awesomely good Thai food! I have friends that are Thai and I can say that, the "Little Thai Kitchen is AUTHENTIC!". Mmm..mmm..GOOD!

I love Little Thai Kitchen. The staff is friendly and the food is great. The restaurant is small but worth waiting for.

for serious Thai food eaters. authentic and fresh. the environment is very low-key, not fancy, but just really fantastic food. i am a local and i pick this hands down over the other thai places...which tend to over-do the spices and send me home with a belly-ache. you will not be disappointed!

This is the BEST restaurant in Flagstaff!! The restaurant is clean, staff friendly and terrific menu selection. Very unpretentious.
