I am a big fan and LOVE this restaurant. My family has been going here for years, and NEVER have we recieved bad service from anyone working or greasy food. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone---If you can afford it, because the prices have gone up since I've first started eating here. I usually get the Pad Thai Noodles (of course), Ribs, and Citrus Chicken! Stacy & Tony

This is the BEST Thai restaurant - much better than the famed Plearn in Berkeley. We've been eating here for years, first in their former smaller location and now in their larger location. Yes, ambiance is lacking but our servers are always pleasant and the food is EXCELLENT. And isn't the food what it's all about? Well worth our trip across the Carquinez Bridge up to Fairfield. The only trouble is we're so stuffed it's uncomfortable on the drive back! Oh, and we'd pay big $$ for the citrus sauce recipe used on the Chef's Special - yummy, yummy, yummy. Mike

S&L Thai has the best Thai food on the West Coast. Try the #55 with Chicken, the Spicy Beef, or the Satay Chicken. Every item on the menu is excellant. I travel a great deal and have yet to find any place that comes close to S&L Thai. Take out is your best bet as it can get busy. S and L Thai fan

I used to eat at S and L Thai regularly, but have moved out of state. I have tried to find food like my favorite dishes there and have not found it yet. Every time I visit Fairfield, I have to eat there. the citrus chicken, spicy chicken wings and grilled chicken salad are all delicious. Thai Food Fanatic

Authentic Thai home cooking! Hands down, the best pad Thai and tom yum in greater Bay Area. Thep Phanom, Marnee, Khan Toke, Tasana, Royal, and Cha Am all pale in comparison. It's worth the trip from San Francisco (at least once in your life)! HOWEVER, service, ambiance, and other dishes are, well, not so good. It's more like having a Thai grandma cooking for you in her run-down kitchen. This is not a place for a date, but rather a pilgrimage for lovers of Thai food. They make their pad thai with tamarind, the way it's supposed to be made - not with ketchup! And their tom yum (and tom kha) is fiery and not oversweetened like at other places. These two dishes are consistently excellent. But be warned that other dishes are inconsistent and can be exquisite or downright awful from visit to visit. Don't let that hold you back! If you don't have a Thai grandma and if you haven't been to Thailand, then you haven't had real Thai food unless you've eaten here. Anonymous

Been going here for years, back when it was a small little place. I no longer live in Fairfield, but make it a point to eat there when I'm in town. My favorites, Pad Thai, Citrus Chicken, Chicken Wings, but everything is yummy. I have the Pad Thai recipe on my blog, it was posted in the local newspaper years ago and I've kept it ever since.
