Chiang Mai Thai Cuisine

The food took a long time to come out and we requested extra bowls. The waitress did not bring them out. We just said forget about it and just continued to eat. However, one of us found an ant in our food and told the waitress. She just said "okay" and asked to take his plate. They did not offer to replace or remove that dish from the bill. That was very rude. We had lost our appetite and did not want to eat any more. We asked for a box for the other curry and she came back and asked if we wanted to box up the dish where we found the ant. This was the first insulting question. We said no. We sat there waiting and no one came with the bill. So I had to flag a waitress down to bring us the bill and she asked us again, whether we wanted that dish boxed up as well. We said no because there was an ant in it. She offered to remove the dish. We originally had considered leaving no tips for the poor service, however because she did remove the meal, we left a couple bucks. We got up to leave and she ran out after us yelling, "excuse me, excuse me, what is wrong? I took the bad dish off your bill but you did not even leave 10% tip". That has to be the most INSULTING thing that has ever happened to us. We normally leave more than 20% if we get exceptional service. We received poor service and left a small voluntary tip when we weren't going to leave any at all. Tips is never a requirement. She insisted on asking why for several minutes. We paid for the poor customer service we got and cannot believe that she was pissed for the few dollars we left. We told her it is the restaurant's job to train their waitresses. She told us a sob story about how tips is how they make money. That is not our fault. We paid for our food in full, and we left a few dollars and she has the nerve to tell us that WE ARE RUDE! We spent $60 on food there between 3 people! NEVER EVER will we ever patronize that place ever again.
