I arrived here only really wanting a couple cold beers. It had been one of those days and while walking by the Manee Thai Restaurant, I saw there was a bar, so I entered. Immediately I was greeted by a young Thai lady with the traditional hands together and the bow. I informed her that I wanted to go to the bar and she walked me over to the bar. I took note to the fact that everybody that was working here was from Thailand!! Looking around the room I noticed tons of decorations from Thailand. It made it feel real, like I was in their country and that was very cool. When I sat down, I was immediately greeted by another young Thai lady with a glass of ice water. I ordered a draft beer and requested a menu. I was not very hungry but after my experience so far, I had to look at the menu and order something, anything. I got my cold beer, which was perfect, about 38 degrees and amazingly there were not any impurities in my glass. Looked great, just the way I like it. Upon reviewing the menu, I decided to order satay gai, which is skewered chicken marinated overnight, grilled and served with peanut sauce and fresh cucumber relish. After ordering my appetizer, it took about 8 minutes for it to arrive and worthy of a much longer wait. It was the best I have ever had. I was provided a set of silverware, which as most of you know I like to inspect and it was spotless. No watermarks or fingerprints. It was almost like they knew I was coming in, but they couldn’t have. I had a total of two draft beers and one order of the Satay Gai, which cost me a total of $9. I was so lucky to fall into this place; I recommend it to anyone looking for a real Thai experience.
