Mae Ploy

This is an excellent Thai neighborhood cafe with good food at very reasonable prices. They do everything well here, but my family's favorites include the Crab Noodle Stir Fry, "Gratiem"-style entrees (meat or shrimp sauteed in pepper, cilantro paste and garlic), and "larb " (minced meat sauteed and seasoned with rice powder, chiles and lime juice). Mae Ploy is the only Thai restaurant in L.A. I know that serves the tofu variant of larb -- it's delicious! The staff here is very friendly and the atmosphere is unpretentious and pleasant.

Best Thai in the area. Excellent value; the food is so fresh and yummy!
