Thai food served as it would be in a Northeastern Thai home which means things may not come out in the order you expect and won't be presented as in a fancy Thai restaurant. Many local Thais eat here so that should be an indication of its quality. It is not a fancy place and is somewhat quirky as the owner is also the only server and things can get chaotic if they are busy, but the food is excellent. Make sure you let him know exactly how much heat you can tolerate. If not sure, stick with mild. Hot is exactly that. I have eaten there at least once a month for the past 5 years and love it, quirks and all. This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the east valley and I've tried them all. Many are fancier, but the food in those is usually bland or adapted to US tastes. If you want real Thai and the real Thai experience, this is the place. If you want a US fast food place that serves "sort-of Thai" then this is not for you.

authentic Thai food , especially northeastern style. call ahead as the owner sometimes takes "emergency leave".
