Bangkok House

Horrible place - tried to make us actually pay for the rice that we were served with he food. Owner pretends to make it appear that rice on given only with select dishes on the menu. In any case the quality of food has gone down while proces have increased. I would avoid it if possible.

I have been to Bangkok House before. I liked the food, although it is slightly overpriced. I tried to order carry-out, a service they advertise on their website, but they had taken their phone off the hook and it was constantly busy. I drove there to order, and was told the take out food would take 45 minutes. 45 minutes would have been alright, if I could have ordered over the phone and waited a half hour before going to pick it up. I mentioned that their phone is off the hook and all the owner said was "we are busy." Meanwhile, a couple told the owner that they had been sitting for a half hour waiting to be served and no one even came to take their order. Again, the owner said, "sorry, we are busy" but did not offer to waive the price of their beers. The couple paid for the beers and left. I left too.

I am vegan so I've only eaten vegetarian dishes at this lovely establishment, of which there are few. I normally get the vegtable curry and while it is very delicious, it is also very oily. When you eat too much oil, you know what happens, right? ;) So I eat here only occasionally, but the vegetarian dishes are tasty.

I love this restaurant! This is truly one of the best places to eat on the south side of Milwaukee. Very nice atmosphere (good place to take a date or to sit and chat w/a friend) and excellent food! I have been going there for years and have always had very attentive service, too. Even for the lunch buffet (which is fantastic and very reasonable), the servers are very good about quickly taking used plates and refilling beverages. I highly recommend this restaurant!

My dinner partner and I had a very pleasant experience at Bangkok House. There were no problems what so ever with the service, and the presentation of the entrees on the plate was outstanding.

This is one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in! The service is great and the food is delicious! Their lunch buffet is fabulous, I wish I could go more often.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this restaurant. The food is delicious--always light and flavorful--and I have had wonderful service every time I've dined here. Contrary to the previous reviewer, I have found the staff to be pleasant and extremely courteous. If you treat others with kindness, it is usually returned to you.

While the service from Thai restaurants is typically slow, the food always makes up for it. Bankok house is no exception, mediocre service with fantastic food, a beautiful atmosphere and that good ole thai hospitality.

Their dispicable service does not make up for the food. Do yourself a favor and never go here. I was a dedicated customer until I was verbally assaulted by the waitress after she rushed me out and talked in their native language about me to the cooks. Couldn't tell the manager, he must of been her father.
