The atmosphere is surprisingly pleasant considering the location. The staff is friendly and cordial, always conscious to keep your glass full since you are dining on spicy food. The food is great and economical.

I also strongly disagree with the first posting. I've gone numerous times since it opened over 2 years ago, and have not only had wonderful experiences, but have watched their business grow. I don't think that would happen if the "management sucks" as they say. The food there is tasty, especially the curries, the service is sincere, and the atmosphere is unique. the manager comes around and checks on the diners regularly as well. No complaints here!

I strongly disagree with the anonymous poster below. The service is a litte "relaxed" but very attentive, I wouldn't call it bad. The food is freshly prepared so it takes a little while to come to your table. I love it there and go almost once a week!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Memphis. The food is sophisticated and consistently well prepared, the service is friendly, the interior is attractive, and I enjoy the classic jazz played in the background. I particularly recommend the green papaya salad, but I've enjoyed virtually every dish I have tried there.

The restaurant is not bad but the management sucks. They dont know how to treat the people. I wouldnt suggest this restaurant to anyone.
